It is through these initiatives that over several years which has prompted us to apply for a school exchange, we want to go beyond a virtual space, we want a real exchange with centres in other European countries. Searching for partners and implementation of this project, a group of five teachers has been formed from Primary, High school teachers. The group is compact and meetings are being doing on a regular basis. Now our meeting are being on line due to the difficult situation. The teaching staff of the school are aware of the need to achieve a specific objective: the integral development of each of our students according to their different characteristics. With the participation in this programme we want to promote inclusive education by strengthening the European education through an exchange and mobility between schools participants in this project. We want our students to develop values of tolerance and respect for diversity, i.e. to walk towards an inclusive education

Scoala Gimnaziala Nr.7

Scoala Gimnaziala Nr. 7 is a primary/secondary school with 500 students from 6 to 15 years old and 30 teachers. Our school is situated in the centre of Giurgiu town, in the south-east of Romania, on the Danube River, bordering Bulgaria. Giurgiu area is quite a disadvantaged one as in the last years industry has disappeared and together with it many working places. That is why a lot of people left the country to work abroad, leaving their children in their relatives' care.

Students and teachers work together to promote the image of our school on the local, national and international level, participating in many school and artistic competitions and developing European projects. So far our school has participated in 8 European projects, both as partners and coordinators. Besides the European projects implemented by our school, teachers and students from our school took part, as a result of collaboration with NGO's in the town, in Youth in Action projects and Grundtvig projects.

Teachers also participated in training courses at local and European level, the result being better didactic methods and strategies.
In 2014 and 2017 our school received the certificate of "European School", within a national competition, which, in 2014 was under the patronage of European Parliament.
The experience we gained from this participation made us willing to continue on this line and we are eager to learn from others' experience, as well as to share ours.
In a world affected by financial crises, attitudes about children’s needs are very important. Our school faces the problem of students who live with their relatives as their parents left the country to work abroad. These students are at the risk of drop out and this project will help us involve them in attractive and educative activities.
The teachers involved in the project will be the school representative, the project responsible, Art, Technology, History and Language teachers.
In case these teachers leave their post, other teachers will take their place: Science teachers and primary teachers.
Our school has experience of 15 years in implementing European projects and we are eager to share from our experience and learn from others’.This is therefore an opportunity for our partner countries to take advantage of our experience in this type of projects.

LICEO VITTORIO EMANUELE III

The “Liceo Vittorio Emanuele III” is a secondary school located in Patti, a small town (about 12.000 inhabitants) on the North coast of Sicily, Italy, just opposite the Eolian Islands and a few miles from the famous Tindari Sanctuary. The main activities are in the field of tourism, there are several resorts on the seafront that accomodate the many tourists that in summer enjoy the beautiful beach and sparkling sea. There are also factories that produce ceramics which are hand-painted and are appreciated for the good quality and the beautiful design. Agriculture and fishing are also practised.

Our liceum is attended by youngsters from Patti but also from the surrounding smaller towns as it mainly prepares students for future studies at university and employs about 70 teachers. In our school there are three different sections: one specializes in scientific subjects (maths, physics, science), one specializes in classical subjects (Latin and Greek) and the third section specializes in foreign languages (French, English and Spanish). However, all the students study some common subjects such as Italian, history and philosophy. One of the priorities of the school is to educate students as European citizens, that have both rights and duties. Extra-curricular courses are offered in sport, drama, music and foreign languages. Students take exams that certify their competences in French, Spanish and English.

Our main objective is to employ an innovative approach in teaching methodology that can be more attractive and more motivating for the target group. We want to take part in the project, firstly, because we believe that it will contribute to the internationalisation of our school, it will give students the opportunity to develop intercultural competence and 21st century skills; Secondly, our area is rich in historical and artistic heritage that can be put into comparison with that of other countries; students will develop critical thinking and will learn that European countries have common roots and share similar values and culture. The exchange of ideas and the experimentation of new teaching methodology will improve the quality of education in our school; the students will acquire intercultuaral and language competences, digital skills and media literacy.
The manager of the school will be in charge of running the project, the director (DSGA) will be in charge of economic administration.
A group of teachers will implement the project, they will be coordinated by an English teacher. We have already worked on Erasmus+ projects. One was related to European citizenship.
The other one was on Equal Chances in different fields: immigration, women, disabled students, cyberbullying. A comparison of how equality in different fields is enhanced in the partner countries. One of the most relevant outcomes was the different ways in which the inclusion of disabled students is faced in different countries.
